Eugene Raymond White, age 80, of Rome, passed away August 3, 2016, after a long illness.
He was born June 30, 1936, in Rome, a son of the late William and Gladys Stanger White. Eugene was educated in Rome schools and served honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a machinist by trade, retiring from National Standard. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and Henry P. Smith Post #24, American Legion.
Eugene is survived by his daughter and son in law, Emanda and Ronald Weyant of Rome, three sons and a daughter in law, Steven White of Las Vegas, Gene White of Rome, and Ken and Tami White of Rome; a sister, Alice Krull; 10 grandchildren, Mason, Morgan, Marykathryn, Mylie, Gabrielle, Zackery, Emily, Tasha, Gene and Jeffrey; 5 great grandchildren, Abigail, Jazmine, David, Giovanni and Francis VI. He was predeceased by a daughter in law, Susan, White, his brothers, Francis, James, Walter and Edward White, and sisters, Mary Warcup, Elizabeth Smaldon, Anne Ulrich, Nora Howes, Delores Harris and Ella White.
The funeral service with military honors will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at 10:30 AM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
