Leslie S. Eychner
Leslie S. “Bud” Eychner, age 94, of Rome, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2018 at the Presbyterian Home for CNY.

Bud was born in Floyd on August 4, 1923 to the late William and Emma Rostiser Eychner, and he attended the Rome schools. He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. On December 14, 1946, he was united in marriage to the former Mary Smith; a blessed union of 64 years until her passing on December 8. 2010. Bud worked as a plumber for O’Shea Supply, retiring in 1988.

Bud was an avid blower, hunter, and fisherman.

Bud is survived by two sons and daughters in law, William and Susan Eychner of FL, and David and Michelle Eychner of Rome; grandsons, Joshua and Deanna Eychner, William Jr. and Megan Eychner, Marcus Eychner, and Robert and Caitlin Eychner; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and sister in law, Everette “Ted” and Sadie Eychner.

Funeral services will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
