Thomas S. Molineux, age 79, of the Town of Lee, passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2017, after a long illness.
He was born May 31, 1938, in Herkimer, a son of the late Roy and Laura K. Chellis Molineux, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. Tom was united in marriage to the former Patricia Rentshler in 1960, in Virginia; she died in 2005. He worked for many years as a computer program specialist at Griffiss Air Force Base. Tom proudly served in the U.S. Navy on submarines from 1955-65.
Tom is survived by four daughters, Terry Molineux of Henderson, NV, Tracy Molineux of the Town of Lee, Kellie Molineux of Taberg, and Amy Althiser of Henderson, NC; a son, Frank S. Molineux of Englewood, FL; a sister, Martha Armstrong of Camden; and 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 5 sisters and a brother.
The family wishes to sincerely thank Tom’s brother in law, Craig Smith, and great friend, James Amo, for all their care and friendship extended to him during his illness.
A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, on Friday at 11 AM.
