Annunziata (Nancy) Sessa Tomassi, age 84, of Rome, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2017.

She was born October 10, 1932, in Terracina, Italy, a daughter of the late Gerado and Concetta Cavuto Sessa. Nancy was united in marriage to Guiliano Tomassi on December 2, 1956, in West Orange, NJ; he died October 27, 2010. She was a talented seamstress and was employed at Rosen’s for 10 years.

Nancy was passionate about family and friends. Italy always had a special place in her heart and mind. She was known for her homemade pasta dishes and delicious cappuccinos. Sharing these special flavors made her smile and gleam with pride when all of her family came together around the table.

Nancy is survived by a daughter, Nancy Tomassi Medolla of Rome; two sons and daughters in law, Jerry and Brenda Tomassi of Rome, and Anthony and Linda Tomassi of Lighthouse Point, FL; a daughter in law, Carol Tomassi of Rome; a sister and brother in law, Mariassunta (Sessa) and Pietro Esposito of Terracina, Italy; a brother and sister in law, Pietro and Ida Sessa of Terracina, Italy; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. John the Baptist. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the church, Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM, prior to the funeral mass.
