Margaret “Peg” Moskin Henderson, age 63, of Holland Patent, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2017, at Faxton-St Luke’s Healthcare Center, with her loving family at her side.
She was born March 15, 1954, in Rome, a daughter of Michael J., Sr., and Marie Kowalchuk Moskin. She graduated from Holland Patent Central School in 1972. Peg was united in marriage to Douglas Henderson. She was a rural letter carrier for the U. S. Postal Service, serving for 29 years. She was a life member of the Roberts Post, American Legion in Holland Patent.
Peg loved the outdoors, enjoying snowmobiling, camping and riding motorcycles and all the friends she met along the way.
Peg is survived by her husband, Doug; her parents, Mike and Marie Moskin; two sisters and brothers in law, Debbie and Donald Roberts of Rome, and Andrea and Neil Kuhner of Heber, UT; a brother and sister in law, Michael J., Jr., and Sally Moskin of Rome; father in law and mother in law, Doug and Dolores Henderson of Florida; sisters in law and brothers in law, Darlene and Randy Shcilling of Florida, Daryl and Vicky Henderson of Florida, and Dan and Patty Henderson of Holland Patent; several nieces and nephews; and her pet birds, Spike and Penelope. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Moskin in 2016.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 6:00 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday 4 to 6 PM, prior to the funeral service.
