Obituary for Lois A. Krumbach (Taft)

Lois A. Krumbach, age 85, of Rome passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, November 22, 2017.

She was born on December 30, 1931 in Rome, daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie Ferguson Taft. She grew up in the Lake Delta area, was educated in Rome Schools and a graduate of the Nursing program at Rome Developmental Center. Lois was formerly married to Paul Krumbach. She worked at the Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center for many years until her retirement. She later worked at the Senior Behavioral Health Unit at Rome Memorial Hospital.

She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She lived every day with a great sense of humor and a kind heart.

Lois is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Dennis Lemon of Ava, and Christine and Richard Boxall of Barneveld; grandchildren, David (Kristyn) Lemon, Shannon (William) Bell, Brian P. Lemon, Danielle Carrier, and Ryan (Hilary) Boxall; and cherished great-grandchildren, Lauryn, Aiden and Connor Bell and Addyson Carrier. She was predeceased by a son, Donald P. Krumbach in 1955, and a brother, Donald Taft.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM, at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Monday from 1 to 2pm, prior to the funeral service.
