Obituary for Hazel M Selvetti (Clemens)

Hazel M  Selvetti (Clemens)
Hazel M. Selvetti, age 83, of Rome, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 16, 1934, in Rome a daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth Bradbury Clemens, and educated in Rome schools. Hazel was formerly married to Richard Selvetti; he died December 12, 1979. She was a greatly appreciated waitress who served in many area restaurants, retiring after many years of service.

Hazel’s first love was her family. She loved cooking for and visiting with everyone at the family gatherings. Her favorite pastime and hobby was putting exotic puzzles together.

Hazel is survived by two daughters, Susan Selvetti of Rome, and Judy Selvetti of Falling Waters, W. Virginia; two sons and a daughter in law, John Selvetti of Lee Center, and Don and Bev Selvetti of Rome; Morgan Noone, whom she loved as a son; three sisters, Dorothy Link of Taberg, Esther Martin of Rome, and Nancy Montana of Rome; a brother and sister in law, Johnny and Shirley Clemens of Camden; 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Vicki Selvetti Panek, and a sister, Virginia “Chippy” Kotary.

The family sincerely thanks the Medicine Shoppe, and Hospice and Palliative Care for their care, compassion and friendship given to Hazel.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 6:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday 4 to 6 PM, prior to the funeral service.
