Ruthann Ross, age 61, of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2018 at Bethany Gardens.
Ruthann was born in Sumner Houses,Brooklyn on January 3, 1957 to the late Robert and Ruth Marie Baynard Ross, and was the baby of five children. She was educated in the Brooklyn Public school system. Growing up, she was blessed to meet and develop lifetime friendships/extended family with some of the most beautiful people in the world. She enjoyed going out with her family and friends, and would indulge in her favorite food which was chicken wings. She was also an avid television shopper and was always watching QVC looking for the next best deal.
Ruthann is survived by her four daughters, Mailique (Courtney Auston) Ross, Latisa (Wakey) Ross Robinson, Talisse Ross, and Shaniquia Ross; three sons, Robert (Kari) Ross, Emmanuel Ross, and Mark Holland; a daughter in law, Silvia Santiago; eight grandchildren, Khadir, Harry, Mikayla, Jamisha, Zayd, Demetrius, Samantha, and Silvia; nieces and nephews, Niyeka, Jacquette, Marcus, and William; an aunt, Myrtle Robinson; an uncle, Ralph Baynard; and s sister in law, Dell Ross. She was predeceased by a sister, Rosemary Jones; and three brothers, Willie, Robert, and John Charles Ross.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 4 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in the spring.
