She was predeceased a nephew, Dustin Platt; and two nieces, Darci and Destinie Deraway.

The family would like to thank Megan at Rome Hospital’s ICU and the staff at Colonial Park for their care and compassion shown to Penny during her illness. Also, a special thank you to her niece, Dyphma, whom she referred to as fenner-beaner, who went above and beyond in every way possible with helping care for Penny.

Penny’s funeral will be held on Thursday at 6 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in the spring.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 PM prior to the funeral.
