“Funeral service will be private...” unless Barbara and Bill Oliver are in town in which case the family will bolt the doors, barricade the entry and otherwise secure the building to no avail. Olivers will find a way to join celebrating the life and the memory of their beloved friend. Among George’s countless pronouncements was his repeated reminder, “You know, Bill, you’ve married above you.” His humor and gentility and kindness are legendary. Loyalty might well be his legacy. A most extraordinary man. We are humbled by having known him.
