Jane P. Holdridge, 90, of Rome, passed away on September 23, 2018. She was born in 1928 in Oswego, New York, a daughter of John and Julia (Mysliwy) Penpeck. She graduated from Oswego High School in 1945, and received a Bachelor's Degree from Oswego State Teachers College in 1949. Jane taught 1st grade in the Holland Patent school district for several years, and worked at the local polls during elections.

Jane was united in marriage to Charles T. Holdridge in 1951 in Oswego, New York. Charles passed away in 2009. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Alan Cross, Rochester, New York, Cheryl and Dennis Gilroy of Melbourne, Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Sandra Holdridge of Livonia, New York; three grandchildren, Chad (Layla) Holdridge, Geoffrey Holdridge and Katie Cross; a great grandson, Malachi Holdridge; a brother, Donald Penpeck, St. Petersburg, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rome, New York.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jervis Public Library.
