Laura L. Horner, age 58, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2018, at Upstate Medical University, surrounded by her loving family.

Laura was born September 7, 1960 in Syracuse, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary Ellen Woodhouse Roberts. She graduated from Westmoreland Central School. She was united in marriage to Richard Horner on June 17, 2000. Laura retired from Nice n Easy where she worked as a manager for many years.

Laura loved her camp in Pulaski, and going to the beach in Sandy Pond. She loved taking sunset boat rides with Richard, sitting by the fire, beach parties and her parents Monday dinners with the family. She cherished her grandchildren, and loved them more than they will ever know.

Laura is survived by her parents, Lawrence and Mary Ellen; her husband, Richard; her children, Breann (David) Smith, and Josh (Tanya) VanCourt all of Rome, and their children, Zachary, Mason, and Ella; her stepchildren, Mary Rebecca Irizarry, Michelle Effland, and Rick Horner, and their children, Monica, Kendra, Dawson, Cassie, Elena, Nick, Bethie, Hailey, Alia, Lauryn, Joseph, and Madelyn; a brother, Larry (Debbie) Roberts; A special niece, Barbara, and her dog, Charlie. She was predeceased by her dog, Buster.

The family would like to thank the staff of 9F at Upstate Medical University and Mercy Flight for their care, kindness and compassion.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 6 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be private.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 6 PM, prior to the service.
