Condolence: My deepest condolences to the Owens family and friends of Ava. Miss Francis was a very , "tough ole bird" as my dad would say. I have many fond memories of "raiding the candy cabinet" at the Ava general store. always loved to go down on Saturday morning to "restock " my gramma's soda crate with nehi soda. also remember driving my old lot car down to the gas pumps(with out a license and bogus tags on the car,slick 13 yr old that I was) for a major purchase of $5 of gas and francis ask me, "does your father know your down here with that?" well no I said, but u can bet he did that afternoon when he stopped by. Loved her like family anyway, she helped keep me on the straight and narrow. Hugs and kisses to all, RIP Francis and say hey to Buck.
