Ginena Dulley Wills was a good friend of mine. I met her first when she was on the board of directors of the Society of St. Andrew. She made a presentation to a group of youth in DC during an event I led. We participated in a Global Education event sponsored by CWS's Global Education Office together - a memorable event for both of us. I "found" her again when I started to work for United Methodist Women and during my time with them she was the Sara Shingler Public Education Intern for two years as we planned together a Public Education Summit for United Methodist Women. After my mother died, Ginena and John helped transport me to and help me through a Conference School of Christian Mission in Elmira, NY. They were angels. In all the time I have known Ginena, it was our long conversations I appreciated most. She was a great listener and a great teller of the stories of common folks. No one was ever ignored by her or overlooked by her. Her love and generosity was amazing. She was a great study leader for the United Methodist mission studies, always trying to include children's books in her lessons. And she and John loved the Yankees.
I will miss Ginena. She brought so much to the world and the world is less without her. It was my honor and privilege to call her friend. May she rest in peace, a good and faithful servant.
