Anna Mae Kullmann, age 83, of Rome, passed away peacefully at home on June 13, 2017, with her family at her side.
She was born April 20, 1934, in Rome, a daughter of the late Edward P. and Mary Hogan Egan. She was educated in St. Mary’s School and graduated from the Academy of Holy Names in 1952. Anna was united in marriage to Edward G. Kullmann, on August 8, 1953, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church; he died March 11, 2008. She worked at the base PX, at Fort Dix while Ed was serving in the Army, and later in the accounting department at Mohegan Market after they returned to Rome. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Lee Center.
Anna is survived by a daughter Christine Carmell of Arlington, TX; three sons and two daughters in law, Robert and Diane Kullmann of Rome, Steven and Patricia Kullmann of Whitesboro, and Edward P. Kullmann of Rome; a brother in law, George Kullman of Las Vegas; grandchildren, James, Scott, Marc, Nicholas, Sara, Amy Lynn, William and his wife, Danielle, Santina and Shannon; and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Tom and James Egan.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Robert L. Kelly, will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM, at St. Joseph’s Church in Lee Center. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Joseph’s Church, Thursday from 10 to 11 AM, prior to the funeral service.
