Angeline M. Giardino, 92, of Rome, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2018, with her loving family at her side.

She was born March 30, 1925, in Utica, a daughter of the late Philip and Catherine Stanzione Bauco, and graduated from Proctor High School in 1943. Angeline was united n marriage to Vincent Giardino, on October 1, 1949, in Historic Old St. John’s Church in Utica; a blessed marriage of 68 years. She worked for many years in the Purchasing Department at Pettibone Corp in Rome. She was a member of St. Peter’s Church.

Angeline life was devoted to caring for her husband, children and grandchildren and her loving home.

Angeline is survived by her husband, Vincent; two daughters, Renee and Robert Jones of Waleska, GA, and Katherine Cataldo of Rome; a son, Vincent Giardino. Jr and Kenneth Witcher of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Erik Czyscon, Brett Czyscon, Kyle Czyscon, Matthew and Brittney Cataldo and Hayley Cataldo; and a special nephew, Thomas and Lorna Cplletto of Batavia. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary and Sam Calleto and two brothers, Pat and Anna Frattazio, and Nicholas and Carmella Frattazio.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Independence Care, Brookside Senior Living of Clinton and the Rome Memorial Hospital Residential Healthcare Facility for their care, compassion and friendship extended to Angeline.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at St. Peter’s Church. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, on Wednesday from 10 AM to 12 PM.
